Training Center is an important department of Afghan Cultural House that will covers all capacity building and professional development programs. Training center will be uses in multiple purposes and will offer different types of training and workshops, the initial trainings programs that are planned is training on blogging, citizen journalism, photo journalism, proposal writing, leadership, management, civil rights, democracy, good governance, communication and presentation skills. Afghan Cultural House intents to submit separate proposal for specific subject trainings for mentioned above area, once over all proposals for the Cultural House has been approved, however a signal proposal for training of bloggers is attached and that can represent training in other subject as well, even with less cost.
Training workshops and seminars initially will start up with short term workshops from Kabul and will gradually extend the programs to the other provinces based on demand, resources and priorities.
Overall the objectives for trainings are:
• To improve knowledge of the youth on human rights, civil society, democracy, good governance, peace, development, blogging, reading, writing, research, dialogue and public media and freedom of expression and the right of access to basic needs in a society, leadership and management and as well as effective communication and presentation .
• To enable the environment for youth to apply new innovative ideas and proposals by lobbing and advocacy
• To raise fund and empower committed youth in participating and reconstruction of future of Afghanistan
The training center will design the capacity building programs; provide trainings through partner association trainers that have expertise in training and workshops. For the first year, most of its training programs are free of charges, but after a year once the training center become popular with experience then would cost low fees for students and will provide package of trainings for individuals and organizations upon the request.
The materials and curriculums will be provided from the credible universities, resource centers, libraries around the world and the house in Afghanistan. Upon the training topics, an instructor and assistant will be hire/introduce by the association to conduct trainings courses.
